Happy Sunday, I've got an interesting story for y'all! So for a couple of months I've really been aiming to focus on myself, just by eliminating distractions and anything thats not adding to my life. Apart of this elimination was boys, simply because most of the guys I've encountered are full of fun and games and nothing serious. It's not that I don't want a relationship, nor do I want to push anyone away, but it'll just take a lot of effort for a guy to prove himself to me. I also decided this year that I wanted to be a little more open minded when I meet someone, I find that sometimes my standards won't always be fully met since the guys my age still have some loose screws. So a guy that's been interested in me asked me on a date, and he's not necessarily my type but I felt it doesn't hurt to go out and have a little fun. As long as I'm not playing him, leading him on, or anything of that nature I can't hurt his feelings. So I told him we could go out, and I emphasized wanting to keep things on a friendly level, this was about Thursday. So we made plans for the next Saturday (last night) and not only had he not texted me back since Monday, but I never heard from him Saturday either. Now granted I wasn't devastated because my interest level in him isn't that high, but it's the principle of the situation. How do you express to someone your feelings for them, ask for their time, and then the opportunity is given and you mess it up? Nevertheless, he had the nerve to text me this morning and it wasn't an apology either. It doesn't make sense to me and it never will. If my crush asked me for a date I'd be sleeping in my makeup and outfit! People, please do better, keep your word and be about it. And ladies, don't let these guys get the easy way out, know your worth and make them work for you!
